Caloosa Yacht and Racquet Club
Project Description
This project entailed the complete restoration and renovation of a residential property severely impacted by Hurricane Ian. The primary objective was to restore the property to its pre-storm condition, while also enhancing its resilience to future weather events. The scope of work involved extensive selective demolition, structural repairs, and new construction to ensure the property was safe, durable, and functional.
Demolition efforts focused on removing the damaged foundation and compromised elements of the structure, ensuring the safe removal of all debris while preserving key areas for reconstruction. A critical component of the project, the foundation was thoroughly assessed and reconstructed to meet current building codes and provide a solid, secure base for the rebuilt structure. New footings were designed and installed to offer improved stability and resistance against future storm impact. The masonry work included rebuilding the damaged walls and integrating new materials to match the existing structure's aesthetic. New tie beams were installed to reinforce the building's frame and improve its overall load-bearing capacity.
